History

The House of Glücksburg-Bieniak-Horne, or simply the House of Horne, takes its origins from three royal and noble families.

The House of Horne takes its origins from the historic County of Horne in the Holy Roman Empire in the present-day Netherlands and Belgium. The Horne dynasty is over a thousand years old with its first leader, Engelbert I.

The Princely Family

The Princely Family belongs to the House of Glücksburg-Bieniak-Horne, a dynasty from Denmark, Poland, and the Netherlands dating back to the tenth century. Today, the princely family consists of the closely related relatives of the Prince of Horne, descendants of Greek, Danish, and other monarchs.
