Response by the Prince of Horne and Hereditary Prince of Horne upon the Death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

His Highness the Prince of Horne has today sent personal condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in connection with the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip was born in 1921 as a Prince of Greece and Denmark and was the 1st cousin 2x removed of the Prince of Horne, through George I of Greece.

His Highness the Hereditary Prince of Horne issued the following statement:
'As I am loyal to the Royal Family, I'm deeply saddened to learn about His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh's passing today. My family and I are mourning along with the royal family. Prince Philip was my cousin, as he was born a Prince of Greece and Denmark.'

The Prince of Horne has issued a mourning period for the House of Glücksburg-Horne, until 18 April 2021, the day after the Duke's funeral. Further court communications and affairs will be put on hold until then.
